ProQuest’s databases contain articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers covering many topics.

To use ProQuest

This resource can be accessed through the links below or through the Library website by following these steps.

  1. Sign in to MyIvy and open the Library tab to access the Library website.
  2. Click the green A-Z Resources button.
  3. Click ProQuest in the alphabetical list of databases. 

What's Available?

ProQuest searches several databases.

Begin Searching

  1. Enter search terms in the search box.
  2. Narrow your search by date, full-text availability, type of article, etc. 
  3. Click the Search button to get a list of articles that match your search terms.  A sample search is shown below.

Search Term Tips

  • If you are searching for a phrase (two or more words which need to stay in the exact same order to keep their meaning), put quotation marks around the phrase.  e.g. “fire drill
  • Use an asterisk to find words that can have many different endings.  E.g. nurs* (finds nurse, nurses, and nursing)
  • You can use combinations of the above.  e.g. “united states” and young and vot*

Search Results

After entering your search term/s and clicking the search button, you will see a results list – a list of articles that matched your search terms.

Here is an example of what you might see:

Display Article

Click on the title of an article to open its record and full text of the article.  You can then print, save, or email the article.
