What is Interlibrary Loan?
Interlibrary Loan, or ILL, is a process that allows libraries to borrow items from other libraries on behalf of their patrons. Ivy Tech Bloomington provides this service free of charge to our students, faculty, & staff.
Faculty & Staff
Ivy Tech Bloomington faculty or staff members may also use IvyCat or WorldCat as shown above. Or, if you already have the citation(s) for the item(s) you need, use these forms to submit your requests:
Ivy Tech Bloomington students should read the ILL FAQ before submitting any requests.
- Use IvyCat to search for items available at any of the Ivy Tech campuses. If the item you need is not at the Bloomington campus, call us at 812-330-6080 or email us at <BL-Library@ivytech.edu> to request the item.
- Or, use WorldCat to discover items owned by other libraries across the United States. You may request items through WorldCat using the built-in online ILL form. View the WorldCat Quick Guide to see how.
We are an LVIS library, and we generally lend to other libraries free of charge. If you are from another library requesting to borrow items from us, see:
