Welcome! Read this first.

Wireless Printing from Your Personal Laptop

It is now possible to print from your personal Windows laptop to the printers at Muncie, Marion, and Anderson by installing the Pharos software linked under the installation instructions below.

Disclaimer:  All software is installed at your own risk.  Due to the wide variety of settings and configurations possible on personal laptops, we cannot guarantee that wireless printing will work on all laptops.

Requirements

  • You must have administrative rights on your computer to install the Pharos system!
  • You must be running Windows 7, Vista or XP. (Sorry, no Windows 8 or Macs at this time.)
  • You must be connected to IvyStudent or IvyStaff (not IvyGuest) in order to send print jobs to our printer.

Installation Instructions

Choose the appropriate file to install from the choices below, depending on whether your system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
If you are not sure about your system, right-click on "My Computer" on the desktop (or on "Computer" from the Start button) and select "Properties." Look under "System" to see if it is either 64-bit or 32-bit system. If neither is mentioned, it is 32-bit.

  1. Click on the link below to save the appropriate installation file to your computer.
  2. Then double-click and Run the file saved on your computer. (It may say it is from an unknown publisher; you'll need to allow it to run.)
  3. Then click on the Install button.
  4. When installation is completed, click the Finish button.

  1. When printing, use the File >> Print option in web browsers, or Print from the MS Office button, etc.
  2. Select the Library printer you wish to use from the print menu.
  3. When prompted, enter your Campus Connect username and password.
  4. When the Pharos box appears, you must click on "Yes" to accept the charges.
  5. Pick up your print job at the Library printer!
