Oceania is a continent made up primarily of the Pacific Ocean. This area is subdivided into the following groups:

Additionally, various dependent territories exist within these areas. Dependent areas may be connected to a nation which is physically quite distant from the territory itself. For example, Guam is considered a territory of the United States, even though it physically exists within Micronesia.
