Discounted Internet Service
Description:
Provides discounted home Internet services to low income households in the Comcast service area. Internet Essentials provides a monthly discount on basic home Internet, as well as free activation and a waiver of deposit for new, local-service customers. All installation and equipment fees will be waived. Approved customers may choose to purchase a low-cost laptop or desktop computer. Service is provided with no commitment and may be canceled any time.
Eligibility:
✓ Living within the Comcast service area
✓ Households receiving at least one of the following:
✓ National School Lunch Program
✓ HUD Housing Assistance
✓ Have not received Comcast Internet service in the past 90 days
✓ Does not have overdue payments with Comcast Internet service less than a year old
Intake procedure:
✓ Call or visit the website to apply online.
What to bring:
✓ Proof of participation in the National School Lunch Program – OR – Lease statement showing HUD housing assistance or official document

ACCESS
Description: Provides discounted home internet services to low income households in the AT&T service area. Access provides a monthly discount on basic home internet, as well as free activation and a waiver of deposit for new, local-service customers. All installation and equipment fees will be waived. Service is provided up to one year with no commitment; services may be canceled any time.
ELIGIBILITY:
✓ MUST live within the AT&T service area
✓ At least one member of the household receiving Food stamps (SNAP)
✓ Service will be for applicant's primary residence (does not have to be in account holder's name)
Intake Procedure:
✓ Complete the application on line or download the forms or call to have one sent by mail.
✓ Email or mail completed application along with copies of verified SNAP benefit.
What to Bring:
✓ Copy of SNAP benefit letter
✓ Copy of EBT card (front and back)
Fees:
Discount on monthly service fees (ranges $5 to $10 per month, depending on available speed)
Payment Forms Accepted: Cash, Check
Program Wait Period: May take up to two weeks for a response on application.
