In your First Year Seminar class, you will be required to complete three "capstone" assignments that are designed to guide you as you begin your path to educational and career success. Completing these assignments is necessary in order to pass the course.
The first assignment is completing your Career Portfolio on the Discover website. This assignment will be due Week 6. You can find the link to the Discover website as well as a guide to completing your Portfolio below.
The second assignment is to print off the Program Sheet for the Certificate, Degree, or Transfer for which you are taking classes. You will find your program sheets in the college catalog, which you can also access below.
The final and capstone assignment is to create an Education Plan that lays out the classes you will need to take while at Ivy Tech and the order you will need to take them in. You will need to have your advisor review your plan, so make sure to make an appointment! Pertinent links are listed below.
You can search Indiana's Inspire database of career books by following this link to the Inspire home page. Click on the search Inspire Databases link. Once there place a check in the box for Career Collection and type your subject (i.e. health careers) in the search box at the top of the page.
These books are all full-text and available online 24 hours a day seven days a week.
