World Religions

The religions studied in this course will be Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism.

Christianity

Essential to Christian religion is the belief that Jesus’s crucifixion illustrates God’s love for humankind and identifies Jesus as savior (Corbis Corporation [Bellevue]).

Buddhism

Buddha was a prince who achieved enlightenment after six years and spent the rest of his life devoted to spreading his teachings (Field Mark Publications).

Islam

Islam was founded by the prophet Muhammad (570—632 CE).
