Why can't I just Google it?

What databases are available to me?

A descriptive list of all Ivy Tech Library's databases is available here, on the A-Z List.

You can limit your search to type, such as ebook databases, or streaming videos--also look at databases that are categorized by subjects, such as business or health sciences.

The subject categories help you narrow your database selection down to a few, and the description of each database will also help decide which databases are most relevant to your topic.

How do I find books or ebooks?

You can find ebooks using the Discover search box, or find both books and ebooks using our book database, IvyCat

Our ebooks are the kind you read on the computer screen--you don't need a device to download them.  Simply click where it says to Click here and you will open the ebook!

We have almost 100,000 ebooks for you to use--and they are great if you can't get to the library before we close!

What is a DATABASE?!?

THIS is an Academic Database

Can I search more than one database at a time?

Yes, you can search more than one database at a time!

The DISCOVER search box on the Library's homepage searches for books, ebooks, and journal articles.  It does not search ALL of our databases, though, so don't worry if you can't find what you are looking for there!
