Can I use the studio on a walk-in basis, without reserving it?
Yes the studio is available on a first come first serve basis, when not already reserved. However you are not guaranteed a 2 hour time slot.
My reservation time has begun, but the studio is still occupied!
Ask the library staff member at the front desk to help you. Those using the studio are asked to return the studio to pristine condition and vacate before the next person's scheduled reservation begins.
Are my recordings private?
Your recordings are backed up on the the One Button Studio System. Ivy Tech Library employees have access to these recordings. They are not reviewed unless a person requests his or her individual backup files. These files are deleted after 30 days.
How Much space with the MP4 file(s) take up on the the USB flash drive?
Drive sizes vary, but generally, you can assume that a 1GB drive will accommodate 30 minutes of recording time. We recommend using at least a 1GB drive when recording in the One Button Studio.
Why do I receive a "device format not supported" error when I insert my USB drive?
You may sometimes receive this error, even if your USB drive is formatted as FAT (Unfortunately, this is a known issue with all One Button Studios.) If you receive this error, it is best to ask the library staff for assistance.
Why won't the presentation clicker work?
Is the clicker powered on? The power switch is on the top left side of the clicker. If the batteries seem depleted, see the Library Desk .
Are you using presentation software?Make sure you are using presentation software, such as Prezi, PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides.
If it is still not working contact the library staff for assistance.
I accidentally deleted my files! Is there a backup of my recordings?
Yes. Backups stored on the One Button Studio hard drive for 30 days. If you need to access a backup of your recording(s), please contact the library staff. Provide your name and the date and time of your Studio reservation.
