Faculty Center - Fort Wayne: Other Resources and Services

Course Reserves

Tired of students not having their textbooks at the beginning of the semester? Want to supplement your course with DVDs or articles that you want students to be able to access outside of class?

Faculty may request that materials (owned by the Library or faculty themselves) be kept on the reserves shelf for in-Library use.

To view course reserve policies, the request form, and a list of all materials on reserve or request a reserve, please visit Course Reserves site.

Borrowing from Other Libraries

Need something we don't have?  The library has two programs that allow Ivy Tech students, staff, and faculty to access materials from other libraries.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

  • If an item is not available from our library, we can request that item from other libraries all over the country. Then, we check out the item to you.
  • Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery to the library.
  • To request an item for ILL, fill out this form.
  • For more information about inter-library loans, contact Carol Gibbs at cgibbs14@ivytech.edu or (260) 480-4172.

Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI)

  • This program allows Ivy Tech patrons to go to other libraries and check out items from them directly.
  • Come to the Ivy Tech library to complete an application form and receive your ALI borrowing card, and then take the ALI card, your Ivy Tech ID, and a photo ID card to the other library.
  • Local participating libraries include Concordia Seminary, Huntington College, Purdue Fort Wayne, University of St. Francis, and Taylor University
  • A list of all participating libraries is available here

Posters

The Library has thousands of posters that you can check out for the semester to decorate your classroom or office.  Topics include diversity, reading, math, nature, biology, safety, domestic violence, disabilities, drugs, anatomy, season, and Ivy Tech program areas.
