Anthony Ray Hinton, author of The Sun Does Shine, is visiting the Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus to talk with us about his story of surviving 30 years on Alabama’s death row for a crime that he did not commit. Hinton’s talk will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session and a book signing.

Connect with others who have read The Sun Does Rise by joining us for a Campus Read Book Club meeting at one of the campus libraries. Participants will contribute differing views and perspectives of Anthony Ray Hinton’s memoir while critically engaging in a thoughtful conversation about themes of forgiveness, friendship, and justice. Expectations of the meeting will be set at the beginning of each event to establish the library environment as one that is safe, inclusive, and respectful.
