This Guide was created specifically for students in Public Affairs & Social Services programs at Ivy Tech Fort Wayne. It provides direction to resources needed for fulfilling course work and developing a professional identity in these fields. Using the library website as your portal, you get free access to hundreds of thousands of eBooks, millions of articles, streaming audio and video. These materials are specifically selected for the courses taught here. We also provide access to software and apps you can use anywhere, in addition to the workstations in the library building.
Access program-specific content using the buttons on the left: professional organizations, newsletters, journals, streaming videos etc. Since the topics covered in these programs overlap, look at all relevant resources for your topic.
Access articles, books, video collections, and career resources relevant to any of these programs, using those buttons. These resources are free to Ivy Tech students, faculty, and staff, and can be accessed from anywhere if you sign in to My Ivy or IvyLearn on your device and go through the Library Home page. If you just Google for information, you will not have free access to the scholarly content, and your search results will not be focused on scholarship. You will save time using the Library resources.
