Library Instruction and Assistance

The library offers instruction, upon request, to faculty, staff, and students.  Instruction may include a general introduction to the campus library as well as instruction in locating and using specific resources or an understanding of APA and MLA research styles.

Students can arrange personalized research assistance with a Library specialist by using the self-serve TracCloud Dashboard in MyIvy.  For more information regarding how to guide your students to the dashboard, click here.

For more faculty related information, or to schedule an instruction session for your classes, contact Darla Crist.

Students and faculty can also reach out any time to the Terre Haute Library through the online Ask-A-Librarian service:

Tutoring Across the Curriculum

TUTORING SERVICES OVERVIEW

Located in Room C-108 across from the Library, the Learning Resource Center [LRC}, is a free learning community offering tutoring across the disciplines, with a special focus on writing, research, math, and science.

In addition to tutoring services, the LRC is equipped with computers, printers, and other supplementary material to assist students in understanding and completing assignments.

No appointment is necessary to come to the LRC, and students do not need to have a question or concern to utilize the space, which is intended as a general workspace as well as a space for tutoring.

We also have tutors available in our Zoom virtual environment.

To get to know the LRC faculty and staff members who are here to assist you and your students, look for their pictures and words of advice on the bulletin board outside the LRC (Room C-108or visit our Meet the Tutors page.

LRC CLASS VISITS OR WORKSHOPS

Staff at the LRC are always happy to make a visit to classrooms to discuss tutoring services or to provide a specialized workshop based upon the needs of the class.  For more information or  to arrange a class visit or workshop, contact  Darla Crist.
