Tutoring is free to Ivy Tech students!
Students benefit in a number of ways: getting assistance in understanding course specific problems and principles, learning study skills, and having others to relate to while coping with their studies.
The purpose of tutoring is to assist and guide students to the point at which they become independent learners. Students who start early with tutoring and who get the support they need are likely to continue on with their academic careers.
Another valuable resource is the Ivy Tech Library and its website. The Virtual Library has a multitude of paid subscription databases that provide credible and quality information for any subject desired. These databases are collections of magazines, journals, newspapers, and even electronic books from which articles on a given subject can be easily accessed.
The Lake County Library website has been revamped with new handout guides,, and videos for using these new tools!!
