Discover! searches IvyCat (books, ebooks, dvds, etc. in the North Central libraries) and select EBSCO databases and JSTOR databases for articles and books on your topic. You can also link out to ProQuest from Discover! to find more information on your topic (see right column of your result set).
Use the filters in the left column to focus your search (by date, publication type, etc.).
BIOGRAPHY AND AUTOBIOGRAPHY
The key to finding biographical information in library databases is to search the person as a subject.
IN DISCOVER!
To find books and articles, search for the person as a Subject or as an Author (for autobiographies) by using the dropdown menu on the left side of the search box. Click on the Search button to view the results of the search.
IN ARTICLE DATABASES
To find biographical articles in other databases, search for the person as a subject by selecting SUBJECT from the search dropdown menu.

Dates from the 1700s on, with a lag of more than one year. Allows advanced searching. Includes some open-access Artstor materials.
