Ask-a-Librarian

Research Help and Access to Online Resources

The library subscribes to a plethora of databases that provide access to thousands of online ebooks, magazines, scholarly journals, and streaming videos.  You can view the complete list of our resources at the Bloomington A - Z page.

Librarians are available to assist you with your research.  Visit Ask-a-Librarian where you can contact us by phone, text, email, or chat.  We are also happy to schedule a Zoom call for personalized service.

Library Instruction

The library offers instruction, upon request, to faculty, staff, and students. Instruction may include a general introduction to the campus library as well as instruction in the use of specific resources. Two of our main resources, IvyCat and Discover, have been through major changes recently, and they now have completely new interfaces.  A new Ivy Tech Library phone app will be available soon too.  Students and faculty may have questions about using these updated resources, and we will be happy to show you how! Use this form to request an instruction session.

Visiting the Library

The library is open to all students, staff, faculty, and community members.

All current COVID-19 restrictions must be followed while in the library.

Current hours and directions to campus can be found at our Hours & Location page.

Under normal circumstances, quiet and unobtrusive food, snacks, and drinks would be acceptable.  During the pandemic, however, no food or drinks will be permitted in the library until further notice.
