Please Note: Due to performance issues with the courier for the state of Indiana, the state is switching vendors. Delivery within the state is going to be severely restricted and/or non-existent during the month of September. We will be experiencing much longer turnaround time for loans, which includes books, DVDs, and any other materials that cannot be delivered electronically. Article and book chapter turnaround time remains unaffected. Thank you for your patience.
The Library is able to borrow materials from other libraries and help you access resources at other academic libraries through our Interlibrary Loan and ALI programs.
Students and employees can request items owned by another library by filling out a request form available online or speaking to a staff member in the Library. The borrower is responsible for returning materials to the Ivy Tech Library. Articles, CDs, DVDs, and audio books will be requested on a case-by-case basis since many libraries do not make these items available for loans or they may charge fees for these materials. If you are not sure about requesting a specific item, please contact Evan Davis in the Library at 219-464-8514 ext. 3021.
You may be able to use other libraries' materials through the 'Reciprocal Borrowing' program. Reciprocal borrowing cards are available to faculty and students in good standing. Participating Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI)include: Norte Dame University, Valparaiso University, Purdue University and many more!
