Genealogy and the Law: How Librarians Can Help Genealogy Patrons Find Legal Resources
Presenter: Tamera L. Rogers, Indiana University
Tamara Rogers joined Indiana University as a Research and Instructional Services Librarian in 2023. Previously, she was the Managing Attorney at Rogers Law Firm in Indianapolis practicing estate planning and elder law. Tamara was also a Juvenile Magistrate Judge for five years in Marion Circuit Court in Indianapolis where she heard paternity cases, including, enforcing or modifying child support, custody, parenting times, and other related family law matters. She spent many years practicing in general litigation. Tamara’s research interests include diverse, equal, and inclusive access to law libraries and legal resources, best practices in teaching legal research, and the legal research process. She is currently completing her M.L.I.S. degree from IU School of Informatics and Engineering (anticipated 2025).
Tamara has been very active in local and statewide legal organizations. She is also a member of several law librarian professional organizations.

Talking Book and Braille Library: Helping the Visual, Physical and Reading Disabled Hoosier
Presenter: Abby Chumin, Indiana State Library
Abby Chumin is the librarian at the Talking Book and Braille Library located in Indianapolis at the state library. She taught eighth grade English in Warren township before pursuing libraries. She received her Masters of Library Science with a concentration in adult services in 2017 from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis. She has been working in libraries for more than nine years. She has been at the state library since March of 2021. When she is not working, she can be found reading, gardening, cooking, or spending time with her husband and cats. Some of her favorite genres of books are fantasy, horror, and young adult fiction.
A Comparative Analysis of ILL Systems
Presenters: Roger Peters and Meg Atwater-Singer
Roger Peters is the Assistant Director of Library and Information Services at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. He has been a resource sharing practitioner since he was a student worker beginning in 2009. He actively participates in the PALNI Fulfillment Steering Committee and is the current chair of the ALI Resource Sharing Committee.
Meg Atwater-Singer is the Access Services Librarian at the University of Evansville. In this capacity, she oversees the Information Desk, circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan, the physical collections, security, social media and the website. Meg is active in Indiana's statewide resource sharing initiatives and has presented conference sessions on assessing interlibrary loan usage, comparing interlibrary loan systems, and recently authored a paper on the copyright practices of IN academic libraries.
Enhancing Department Manuals with AI - From Chaos to Clarity
Presenter: Garrett Griffith
Garrett Griffith serves as the Head of Document Delivery Services at Indiana University Bloomington, where he specializes in interlibrary loan and related services which center around the borrowing and lending of materials. His research interests focus on AI and leveraging technology to improve workflows and information tracking. He is actively involved in both state and national committees, serving as a member of the Mentorship Committee for the Academic Libraries of Indiana and as a member of the ALA RUSA STARS Awards and Recognition Committee. Garrett received his M.L.S. with a specialization in rare books and manuscripts from Indiana University Bloomington in 2019. He also holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Caitlin Balgeman is the E-Resource and Open Education Librarian at Marian University in Indianapolis. She co-authored the article, "Electronic resource management then and now: Maximizing efficiency with a small staff," and has presented on assisting faculty with OER and open pedagogy. In between job title responsibilities, she loves finding every reader their book.

Cetoria Tomberlin is the Resource Sharing Librarian at IU Indianapolis. She received her MLIS from the University of Alabama in 2023.

Sherri Michaels is the Director of Collection Strategies and Management at Indiana University-Bloomington. Sherri is actively involved in several committees with the Big Ten Academic Alliance (including resource sharing) and she is currently chairing the Shared Print Practices and Agreements Working Group. Prior to working at IU, Sherri worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison which is where she got her master’s degree as well.
Rachael Cohen is the Head of Discovery and User Experience at Indiana University-Bloomington. Rachael is actively involved in several committees with the Big Ten Academic Alliance BIG Collection and she is currently serving on the BIG Collection Steering Committee and BTAA/OCLC Resource Sharing for Groups development partnership team. Rachael received a dual master's degree in library science and information science from IU Bloomington in 2012.
