American Library Assn - The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world.

Association of American Educators - the largest national, non-union, professional educators' organization, advancing the profession by offering a modern approach to teacher representation and educational advocacy, as well as promoting professionalism, collaboration and excellence without a partisan agenda.

Council for Exceptional Children - The Council for Exceptional Children is a professional association of educators dedicated to advancing the success of children with exceptionalities. We accomplish our mission through advocacy, standards, and professional development.

Indiana Assn for the Gifted (IAG) - IAG supports your efforts with both our state and federal legislators. 

Indiana Computer Educators (ICE) - The Indiana Connected Educators (ICE - formerly Indiana Computer Educators) is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit, volunteer group of professionals whose mission is assisting educators to enhance learning through the use of technology.

ISTA - Indiana State Teacher's Association

ISTE - The ISTE Online Community is a place for educators from around the world to learn from each other by asking questions and sharing resources.

Master of Ed in Curriculum & Instruction - The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction is a 30-credit degree program offered by Penn State's College of Education and delivered online through Penn State World Campus, recently ranked No. 6 by U.S. News & World Report for having the Best Online Graduate Education Programs. This curriculum and instruction master's program is taught by the same nationally recognized faculty who teach on campus.

National Assn for the Gifted - NAGC staff and leaders support and develop policies and practices that encourage and respond to the diverse expressions of gifts and talents in children and youth from all cultures, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic groups. NAGC supports and engages in research and development, staff development, advocacy, communication, and collaboration with other organizations and agencies who strive to improve the quality of education for all students.

National Council for Teachers of Math - As a mathematics educator or researcher, your passion is ensuring that all students receive the highest quality math education possible. Membership in NCTM means access to the resources you need to turn your passion into measurable student learning outcomes.

National Science Teachers Assn - The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all.

NEA - The National Education Association (NEA), the nation's largest professional employee organization, is committed to advancing the cause of public education. NEA's 3 million members work at every level of education—from pre-school to university graduate programs.

Organizations

Organizations for Elementary Education Majors

Education in Action (EIA) is a local professional organization for Elementary Education majors. Membership is open to all who wish to belong. Dues are minimal and usually cover project and group expenses. Meetings are held monthly with dates and program topics posted on bulletin boards throughout TC.

Kappa Delta Pi is an honorary fraternity which invites outstanding education majors to membership. Juniors who have achieved outstanding academic records and who demonstrate leadership in the profession are candidates for nomination by a faculty member.

Pi Lambda Theta is an honorary fraternity which invites outstanding education majors to membership. Seniors who have achieved outstanding records while enrolled on campus are selected for membership in the organization.
