Individual Research Assistance

Upon request, the library offers instruction to faculty, staff, and students. Instruction may include a general introduction to the campus library as well as instruction in the use of specific resources.

Students can schedule individualized library research instruction sessions by using the TracCloud Self-Serve Dashboard in MyIvy, as follows:

  • Log into MyIvy

  • To access the TracCloud dashboard, Select "Campus Tutoring Services" from the QuickLinks menu:

  • Select the Class or Subject Associated with the research
  • Select "Research Assistance" and then click "Search"

  • When "Search" is selected, Appointment slots will appear indicating the options for dates, times, and locations.

  • Once the appointment is selected and submitted, an appointment confirmation email will be sent listing the details of the appointment.

Library staff members look forward to meeting with you individually as you work through the research process!

For additional requests from faculty or staff or for more information regarding library services, please contact Darla Crist.

Writing & Project Related Resources

Paramedic work includes paperwork--writing reports, summarizing events o results, or providing follow-up.

You might be asked to conduct research in your paramedic classes and provide a report of your findings.

Always consult the guidelines of any writing or research project and follow those guidelines, but for an overview of report writing or technical writing, try this Purdue OWL overview:

Connecting with Tutors

The Resource Learning Center offers individualized and group tutoring for classes and subjects across the Ivy Tech curriculum, including reading, writing, math, science, and technology.  The KEY on campus also provides desktop computer and printer access, as well as a place to study and ask questions.

Tutoring is available in-person in Room C-108 and online in Zoom.  Tutoring sessions can be arranged in the following ways based on tutor availability in any given semester:

  1. Students can walk into the KEY Learning Center in Room C-108 (Library Hallway) without an appointment to receive assistance on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Students can drop into Zoom without an appointment on a first come, first serve basis on designated drop-in days and times.
  3. Students can arrange an appointment on campus or in Zoom for allocated appointment days and times.

Students can quickly and easily search for appointment availabilities or drop in availabilities through the MyIvy TracCloud Dashboard.

For more information about the KEY Learning Center and how friendly staff members can support your learning, please visit the Resource Learning Center LibGuide.
