Recover Better
- Stand Up for Human Rights
2020's theme relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our world needs to build itself back up stronger and better by ensuring Human Rights are central to the Recovery.
December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The document proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been translated into more than 500 languages and holds the Guinness World Record for the most translated document.
