IvyOnline Faculty Guide: Resources

Accessing Resources

Start at the Statewide Ivy Tech Library Homepage

Use IvyCat to search for books and ebooks. Ebooks can be accessed using the link in the IvyCat record.

Print items can be checked out from the owning library. If the Ivy Tech library near you does not have the book your need, contact your closest Ivy Tech library to inquire about borrowing the book for you.

Electronic Resources

Electronic resources including journals, magazines, newspapers, videos, and more can be accessed from the Discover! Search for the A-Z resources list on the Statewide library page.

Local Ivy Tech libraries may have electronic resources that are only owned by that campus. These resources are not licensed for use statewide. If you need access to an article or materials that are not on the statewide page, please contact a librarian to inquire about options.

Inter-Library Loan

Borrow books from participating libraries across the state.

Contact your closest Ivy Tech Library to inquire about borrowing books from other institutions in Indiana. Books will be delivered to the Ivy Tech library of our choice. (This service may vary by location)

  Professional Reading

The library statewide subscribes to the Chronicle of Higher Education. Access it via the link of the Statewide A-Z resources list.

Other publications of professional or personal interest may be available within Ivy Tech's statewide collection. Use the Journal Finder to search for publications of interest. If the item is owned by an individual Ivy Tech Library,  request access on an article by article basis through interlibrary loan.

Library Guides

Library Guides are dedicated websites created by Ivy Tech librarians to lead students to library resources and materials, present tutorials on information literacy skills, or other information useful to them. Guides can be dedicated to a course, subject or topic.

Access the list of Statewide guides via the Library Guides link on the Statewide Ivy Tech Library homepage.
