Install Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus from Google Play Store (Chromebook instructions)

Introduction

Chromebook devices require Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus be downloaded and installed directly from the Google Play Store.

Instructions

1. Open Google Play Store on your device

2. Navigate to the top right of your screen and click Apps

3. In the Search text box type Office and press enter

4. Select Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel and click Install

5. Enter your Ivy Tech email and password once the installation is complete.

6. You are now signed into Office 365 with your Ivy Tech account

Although all Ivy Tech students receive a Microsoft Office license included in their tuition, students who own Chromebooks be aware that MS Office software for Android (as found on the Play Store) will not be the full-featured version available for Windows or Mac operating systems. Students needing full-featured capability (like for APA formatting) are recommended to use Google Docs, Sheets and Slides for full editing features and download as their Microsoft equivalent to submit their assignment.
