Medical Assisting - Fort Wayne

Welcome to the Medical Assisting Guide. This guide is designed to provide easy access to the resources that will be most useful to students and faculty in the Medical Assisting Program. This includes databases, books, and audio-visual materials.

Databases are collections of articles and other resources that gathered together so that they are easily searchable. You can use databases to help you find scholarly or academic sources for your assignments.

Audio-visual resources provide a different method for learning information and an interesting way to present information for assignments and projects. These resources will help you find all sorts of audio-visual material, including images, videos, podcasts, and more.

The Library has a wide variety of books and ebooks available to students. Students and faculty may check out books for two weeks at a time with their Ivy Tech Community College ID. Most ebooks can be downloaded to personal devices for a limited time so that they can be read on the go. Reference books, designated by a blue dot on the spine, must remain in the Library, but small sections can be scanned and sent to the user via email.
