New Voices - Central Indiana: About Us

Ivy Tech's Literary Journal

New Voices is Ivy Tech's Central Indiana Literary Journal. We feature student writing and artwork, striving to publish high quality literary and artistic work.

New Voices is published annually. In 2017, we premiered the online edition of New Voices. Currently, both the print and online edition are available.

Each year, New Voices holds a Flash Fiction contest with prizes and publication awarded for the top submissions. The contest is open to current Ivy Tech students.

If you are an Ivy Tech student interested in working behind the scenes with the New Voices student organization (selecting submissions for publication, designing and posting content on our website, etc.) please contact one of the New Voices faculty advisors.

     Victoria Morrow

Victoria Morrow began writing creatively in grade school. Her desire to write was rekindled as an adult at Ivy Tech and she is currently working on finishing her Gens before pursuing a BA in English at IUPUI starting Fall 2021.

She has placed in both the Flash Fiction and Ivy Tech Library’s Poetry Contest, as well as the Art Squared Festival’s “Masterpiece in a Day” contest for prose. This is her second year working as an editor for New Voices. Her favorite part of the process is when she has the opportunity to review other student’s creative works.

Her love of all things nerd span the gamut, and one of her happy places is the annual gaming convention, Gen Con. She is gratefully married to her Player 2. Their “kids” consist of two cats and a snake.
