Journal, Magazine or Newspaper Article from a Database

Format:


(Author last name page number).​

Example: 

(Junge and Nelson 642)

Format is the same as the print version but you need to add the name of the database and the date of your access.

Format:

Author Last Name, First Name. “Title of Article.” Name of Periodical/Journal, Volume, Number, Day Month Year Published, pages. Name of Database, URL or DOI. Accessed Day Month Year.

Example:

Langhamer, Claire. “Love and Courtship in Mid-Twentieth-Century England.” Historical Journal, Vol. 50, no.1, 2007, pp. 173-196. ProQuest, DOI:10.10107/S0018246X06005966. Accessed 27 May 2009.

Newspaper (Print Version)

If the newspaper is divided into lettered sections, provide the section designation before the page number when the newspaper does the same.

Format:
(Author last name page number).​

Format:

Author Last Name, First Name. “Title of Article.” Name of Newspaper, Day Month Year, Pages.

Magazine (Print Version)

Format:
