East Central: Guide to Library Resources for English Students: Home

About this Guide

Use this guide to find library resources for English classes and general course assignments. The tabs across the top of the guide will give you access to our own Ivy Tech library resources, as well as carefully selected open web sources that you will find useful. This is a selective listing of resources and should be supplemented through interaction with your instructors and the college library staff.  You can find out about other library resources and services at the Library tab in Campus Connect.

Welcome!

Welcome to your guide to Ivy Tech library resources for English students!  Here you can interact with the very librarian who selected these resources for you.  You can talk to me several different ways (see right column on every page). And throughout the guide, you'll find opportunities to add comments, rate links and submit suggestions for websites or resources that you find and would like to share.  I'll be adding opinion polls here and there too.  Many of the tabs will be under constant revision (with feedback from you!), but dig in, and let me know what you think!

Liberal Arts English Classes

Ivy Tech’s Liberal Arts program provides you with an associate of science or associate of arts degree so you can transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree in a Liberal Arts major. You’ll receive broad exposure to a traditional Liberal Arts course of study, including art, English, literature, psychology, philosophy, music, sociology, history, social sciences, and laboratory sciences. Although most studies use this degree as the foundation of a bachelor’s degree, you can also start a career in select fields.
