Library Videos

  • The library has a growing collection of English/literature-related videos available for instructors to show in class. Students can view any of these videos in the library (DVD or VHS). Titles are searchable in IvyCat (include the word, videorecording as a keyword in your search).
  • Or -- Use this IvyCat quick search for videos in Ivy Tech East Central Libraries (including online videos): Use "  " around search terms to search a phrase.  Use Boolean AND, OR, NOT between terms.

Video Sites

The following sites will provide a rich source of multimedia resources for any field. Search for the writer of your choice, or a period of literature, and you are almost certain to find some videos.

Literature/English Video Sampler

The following is a collection of sample searches from the video sites listed in the box above.  These sites provide hundreds of titles available on the Internet that are suitable for research, class presentations and simple review.  The results are dependent upon topics available and the search strategy used. Focus on the broadest topic required and then narrow in on the more specific aspects of that general subject.

Remember; when using the Internet for any resource, evaluate, evaluate and evaluate.  It is very important to know the source of the item, its date of creation, the authority of the source and the its purpose.
