Each campus library has control of their own budget for the physical items in the library and can determine how this money if spent. By the end of the summer session the Valparaiso campus library will complete an inventory of physical items. This will allow me to get to know the collection better and determine where the budget money would be most useful. For example, I completed a small weeding project over the winter break and have already determined that our technology collection needs updated materials. A percentage of the book budget for 2019-2020 will go towards upgrading this collection.
