ILL Policy

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Students and employees can request items owned by another library by filling out a request form available online or speaking to a staff member in the Library. The borrower is responsible for returning materials to the Ivy Tech Library. Articles, CDs, DVDs, and audio books will be requested on a case-by-case basis since many libraries do not make these items available for loans or they may charge fees for these materials.  If you are not sure about requesting a specific item, please contact Evan Davis in the Library at 219-464-8514 ext. 3021.

ILL Stats

The Valparaiso Campus Library recently set up a direct ILL account through the state system called SRCS. This allows member libraries in Indiana to request and loan items free of charge. This system only applies to physical items, mainly books and DVDs, and not articles. For article requests we work with other Ivy Tech campus libraries that offer this service to their patrons.

Prior to the Fall of 2018, the Interlibrary Loan service for the Valparaiso Campus was routed through and managed by the Lake County Campus.
