The Library is able to borrow materials from other libraries and help you access resources at other academic libraries through our Interlibrary Loan and ALI programs. Students and employees can request items owned by another library by filling out a Request form available below or speaking to a staff member in the Library. The borrower is responsible for returning materials to the Ivy Tech Library. Reference books, videos and journals are rarely able to be borrowed.
The Ivy Tech Fort Wayne Library receives fascinating and informative new materials each month for your use and enjoyment. Use this form to submit your request for consideration. Make sure you include contact information for follow-up from Library staff. We are committed to providing most relevant and up-to-date supportive materials for students and faculty from all areas of study.
Access the Video Reserve Form here. Please fill out one form per video requested. Requests should be made at least one week prior to the date needed. Instructors will receive an email confirming their reserve, and will be notified at once in case of a scheduling conflict. Videos will be pulled one week before the request date. Instructors will receive a reminder email at that time. All reserved videos can be picked up at the library circulation desk. For more information or questions, contact Ryan Wierbiki at 482-9171 ext. 2503 with questions.
You may be able to use other libraries' materials through the 'Reciprocal Borrowing' program. Reciprocal borrowing cards are available to faculty and students in good standing. Participating Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI) include: Concordia Seminary, Huntington College, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), University of St. Francis, and Taylor University and many more!
