Borrow a Laptop

The library has 10 laptop computers available for use by currently enrolled students. Students may also check out laptop computers for use within the library. Visit the library for more details. 

Fall 2024 Due Date: Monday, December 16th.

Our laptops are Dell Latitude E5550 laptop, with battery, a recharger and cord, and a carrying case.


Want to borrow a laptop? Have a faculty member email us.

A member of the faculty needs to email library staff to tell them that he/she believes that the student is responsible and can be trusted with the computer.  (The faculty member bears no financial responsibility if the device is damaged or is not returned.)  Faculty should send their emails, from their Ivy Tech email accounts, to:

Check Out Requirements

Only Ivy Tech Fort Wayne students who meet the following conditions may check out laptop computers:

  • have a recommendation from an Ivy Tech Fort Wayne faculty member in whose class they are currently enrolled,
  • have no outstanding fines or overdue materials from the Ivy Tech Fort Wayne library.
  • students must present their current Ivy Tech ID card or a Photo ID and their C Number to check out laptops

Check Out Policy

  • Laptops may be checked out for one 8 week class term at a time and will be due the Monday following end of term.
  • Laptops may be checked out again at the start of a new term.
  • Students taking 16 week classes will need to renew after 8 weeks.
  • Checkouts and renewals must be done in person during library business hours. 
  • Students are financially responsible for the cost of repairs for damage done during their checkout period. 
  • Late fees are $10 a business day. For a full copy of borrower's agreement, please contact the library.

Borrow a GoPro Camera

The library has five GoPro cameras available for use by currently enrolled students.

Summer 2024 Due Date: July 15th.

Each GoPro kit contains a GoPro HERO4 Silver camera, a 32GB microSDHC memory card, a carrying case, (2) re-chargable batteries, a protective housing with (3) different backdoors, a hand grip, head-mount, clip-mount, and a quick start guide.

Wireless printing on Ivy Tech campus is available through Papercut (https://papercut.ivytech.edu). 

Printing from your laptop or mobile device

  1. Navigate to the URL: https://papercut.ivytech.edu and login using your MyIvy Credentials.
  2. Click Web Print from the menu on the left side of the screen.
  3. Click the green Submit a Job button.
  4. Choose the appropriate printer.
  5. Click the green Print Options and Account Selection button
  6. Enter any print options, then click the green Upload Documents button.
  7. You can either drag and drop a file into the window, or click on Upload from computer to select your file. Repeat this step if you want to upload multiple files. Please note the acceptable file types.
  8. Click the green Upload & Complete button
  9. Visit a printer and sign in using your Ivy Tech credentials.
  10. Select Print Release from the console.
  11. Select the print jobs you want to print, then select Print.

Printing Costs

You start each semester with $5 on your printing account. Printing is $.05-.07 per black-and-white page and $.30-.45 per color page. You can add more funds to your printing account through Papercut. Click Add funds using a credit card on the left side menu.
